This state has some sweet delights for all the food lovers, especially those with a sweet tooth. Some of the sweets popularly consumed are gulab jamun, mawa bati, laddoo, raabri, malpua, khopra pak, moong dal halwa, gajar ka halwa, ras malai, and rasgulla. Mawa bati is a scrumptious dessert made of mawa (condensed milk), jaggery, and til seeds. Khopra pak a superb preparation made by using freshly grated coconut, milk, and sugar. Ras malai and rabri are luxuriant desserts made with milk, nuts, and sugar. Malpua is made with milk, semolina, refined flour and sugar syrup. All the desserts are delectable and fulfill the craving for desserts delightfully. One very renowned sweet delicacy is Raas kheer which is prepared by mixing the extracts of the mahua flower with milk and millets. In this dish, no sugar is added.

Kusli is an exceptional preparation with huge repute among the people of Madhya Pradesh and even Chattisgarh. It is made with maida (refined flour), ghee and sooji (semolina). It resembles to the Gujiya preparation.
